Once, a young boy named Umar ibn Abi Salamah was eating dinner with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Umar was so hungry that his little hand was darting all across the dish! The Prophet ﷺ smiled gently, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, and gave him three golden rules: "O young boy, say Bismillah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is right in front of you." Umar remembered this loving advice for the rest of his life.
