Prophet Nuh, Alayhi as-Salam
Dua 3 of 30Source: Quran, Surah Nuh, 71:28
Quran context
Prophet Nuh, Alayhi as-Salam, made dua for more than himself. He remembered his parents, the believers who entered his home, and all believing men and women. Children can imagine a big circle of dua growing wider and wider until it includes the whole ummah.
Rabbighfir lee wa liwalidayya wa liman dakhala baytiya mu'minan wa lil-mu'mineena wal-mu'minat.
My Lord, forgive me, my parents, whoever enters my home as a believer, and all believing men and women.

What children learn: A kind heart makes dua for other people too. You can ask Allah to forgive your parents, family, teachers, friends, and all believers.
Hadith connection: A related authentic hadith says that when a person dies, ongoing benefit can still reach them through a righteous child who prays for them. Reference: Sahih Muslim 1631.
