About DuasForMe

DuasForMe began with a simple wish. I wanted to build a good learning experience for my son.

I had been thinking about it for a long time. As I worked on it, the idea grew. I wanted him to understand the Islamic faith through stories and lessons that made sense to him.

I also wanted the rest of us to learn alongside him. Learning together turned out to be the best part. It gave us something to talk about, ask about, and come back to as a family.

Why I built it

Most of us learn our prayers and duas in pieces, from different people at different times. I wanted one place where the basics are laid out clearly and in order.

A parent should be able to sit down with a young child and begin. An adult who wants to understand what they are saying, and why, should find something worth reading too.

How it was put together

A great deal of time went into the research. I looked for authenticated hadiths and read the commentaries of trusted authorities.

Then I put everything together so that a child can follow it easily and an adult can still reflect on it. That was the hardest part, and the part I care about most.

What you will find here

  • The basics of Salah, explained step by step
  • Short duas, with their meaning, so they are understood and not only memorised
  • Audio and video lessons and short courses, some fully free and others offering a free first teaching module before purchase
  • Flashcards within the courses that help you learn Arabic vocabulary and its meaning, so the text becomes easier to understand
  • Plenty of quizzes, so you can check what you have learned and revisit what you have not
  • A guide section that answers common questions and offers clear guidance
  • Carefully crafted PDF guides that you can read online, download, and print
  • A Quran audio player to help with memorising the short surahs
  • Study guides for families, built around individual surahs

Who it is for

DuasForMe is for children who are just starting out, guided by a parent, and for adults who want a deeper understanding. It works best when the whole family sits down together.

A word on pricing

Ideally, all of this would be free, and a good part of it is. Some of the courses carry a price, and we want to be honest about why.

Keeping DuasForMe going takes real effort and real cost. The research continues.

Every course, reading guide, and audio lesson has to be prepared with care, checked, and made simple enough for a child to follow. Then there is hosting and the technical running of the site.

The pricing is there to cover this work, so that DuasForMe can keep growing and keep offering clear, reliable learning material. It is not meant to be a business built on faith.

If you are able to support it, thank you. If a price is ever a difficulty for you, please write to us at [email protected].

If you find a mistake

I have tried to be careful, but I am human, and mistakes can happen.

If you find one, please forgive me, and please let us know at [email protected] so that we can correct it. Your feedback helps make this better for every family who learns here.
